Mr. Walter Salstrom

    Walter H. Salstrom was born in 1886.  Mr. Salstrom and his family moved from Canada to Portland in 1913.  At onne time he owned and operated the Eaton Truckline and later he acquired the Portland Vernonia Trucking Co.  He was an active member of Temple and he served on the board of trustees for the Oregon Baptist Retirement Home.  He lived on NE Flanders Street near the then location of the Retirement Home.  Walter had one sister, Mrs. Ruth Lundstrom and two brothers, Dr. Fitz G. Salstrom and Joseph W. Salstrom.  
    Walter died in Portland on January 5, 1971 in Portland.
