Mr. Arthur B. Carlson
Arthur B. Carlson was born in Little Falls, Minnesota on May 28, 1889. Mr. and Mrs. Victoria Carlson were received into the church membership on October 1, 1924. Mr. Carlson served as the business manager of the radio service that was called "Scandinavian Half Hour" on KOIN. The program was started in 1933. The leaded glass scene in the baptistry window was donated by A. B. Carlson when the church was built. Mr. Carlson owned the Carlson Plaining Mill in Vancouver, Washington. In 1948, Mr. Carlson donated the lumber to build the McMicken Heights Baptist Church in Seattle. Mr. Carlson served as treasurer of the Oregon Baptist Retirement Home. Mr. and Mrs. Carlson were very faithful members of Temple Baptist Church. They had two daughters; Helen Carlson and Henrietta Carlson Gustafson. Mr. Carlson died on December 22, 1966.
