Mr. & Mrs. John Rose
Mr. and Mrs. John Rose were charter members of what is now known as, Temple Baptist Church. They came from Grand Rapids. Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Rose were baptized on January 1, 1884. John Rose was a moulder in the Smith Brothers and Watson Foundry. Mr. Rose was not a union man in Grand Rapids, so he was not permitted to join the union in Portland so he had to quit his job at the foundry. John Rose went back to Michigan because of the lack of work here in Portland.

The Lord
is nigh unto all them that call upon him,
to all that call upon him in
truth.
He will
fullfil the desire of them that fear him:
he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
Psalms 145:18,19
