Fredrik Linden
1911-1916
Fredrik Linden was born in Sweden on February, 18, 1860 in the town of Östra Tollstad, Östergötland. Fredrik was converted, Pentecost, in 1877 while in Sweden. Came to America in 1882. He was baptized after traveling to the United States on December 6, 1886 in Des Moines, Iowa by Eric Halvarson. He entered the Swedish Baptist Theological Seminary in Chicago in 1890. He graduated from Bethel Theological Seminary in 1893. He married Christina Svenson on September 4, 1884. They had four girls and one boy. He was ordained while serving as pastor in Ogema, Wisconsin June 27, 1893. Pastor Linden served churches in Superior, Wisconsin - Duluth, Minnesota - Seattle, Washington before coming to Temple in 1911. Pastor Linden left Temple in 1916 to serve two churches in Chicago. He retired in 1929 and moved to Los Angeles. Pastor Linden was called back to be interim pastor at Temple from 1932-1933. He was taken to the hospital on his Golden Wedding day on September 4, 1934.
