Mr. Carl V. Anderson

    Carl Anderson was born in Tofta, Gotland, Sweden on August 2, 1882.  Gotland is an island in the Baltic Sea off the east coast of Sweden south of Stockholm.  He was the older brother of Axel.  Carl left Sweden in 1902 from the town of Visby.  After arriving in the United States he left Chicago and arrived in Portland in 1904.  He and his brother Axel were baptized at the church on September 26, 1904.  Carl married Lydia Nystron on August 14, 1907.  
    Carl Anderson died on December 30, 1977.
