The Chi Alpha Youth House was located on the North West corner
of NE 6th and Clackamas across the street from the church. Temple had a
fantastic youth program with a group of energetic leaders. The house was
purchased mainly for the youth program. A massive restoration and remodel
took place once it was in the churches possession. The basement was called
the "Catacombs." It had a pin ball machine, foos ball table, ping pong and a stereo
system. There was a pool table in the kitchen up on the main floor.
The rest of the house was for Sunday School rooms. The house has since
been sold to a electric utility company and torn down. Today there is an
electric sub station that takes up the whole block where the house was situated.
